What I tell buyers about Dresden is that it rewards people who want a small town for the right reasons. It is not trying to be anything else. If you want to know your neighbours and be out in the country in a couple of minutes, Dresden is worth a drive.
Figures are live asking prices of homes for sale through my feed, not sale prices.

The Sydenham River runs through Dresden, and the town grew up along it. Downtown has the red brick municipal centre with its clock tower and a handful of shops and services. It is the kind of place where people wave from their porches and know who is new in town.
Dresden sits between Wallaceburg downriver and Thamesville to the south, with Chatham a reasonable drive for bigger errands. The countryside around it is farmland, broken up by woodlots and long concession roads.
Most homes in town are older: brick and frame houses, storey-and-a-halfs and bungalows on streets with mature trees. Lots are usually more generous than in a city. Some homes have been lovingly updated, others are waiting for someone to do it, and that mix can make Dresden a good fit for buyers who do not mind a project.
Outside town there are rural homes, hobby farms and farmland. If you want a few acres near Dresden, I can help you look at the well, the septic system, the drainage and the outbuildings with a farmer's eye. My farm and rural property page has more.
Dresden does not have a lot of listings at once, and the feed on this site carries only part of the local market. If you are interested in the town, send me a message and I will keep you posted on what comes up.
If you are selling, Dresden's buyers often come from outside the town, so how your home is presented online matters. I will help you put your best foot forward and price it sensibly. Start with a home evaluation or read about selling with me.
In the north part of Chatham-Kent on the Sydenham River, between Wallaceburg and Thamesville.
It can be. Dresden has plenty of older homes, some already updated and some waiting. A good inspection and a realistic budget matter. My buyer page explains how I help.
Rural homes and hobby farms do come up around Dresden. See farms and country properties in Chatham-Kent and let me know what you are looking for.
