Privacy policy

When you fill in a form on this site, such as the contact form, the home evaluation request, the ask a question form, a showing request or a listing alert, I collect what you type in: usually your name, phone number, and, if you give them, your email address, a property address and your message.

Like most websites, the site also records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is used to keep the site secure, prevent spam and understand which pages are useful. Homes you save as favourites are stored in your own browser, not on my systems.

I use your information to reply to you, to provide the real estate services you ask for, and, if you sign up for them, to send listing alerts. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for anything unrelated to your request without asking you first.

I will only send you commercial electronic messages, such as listing alerts or market updates, with your consent. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask me to stop at any time by phone.

Your information may be shared with my brokerage, Century 21 First Canadian Corp., Brokerage, as part of providing real estate services. I also use trusted service providers to run this website and deliver email. They handle your information only to provide those services to me. Some of them may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

I may also disclose information where the law requires it.

I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law or real estate regulations require. I use reasonable safeguards to protect it from loss, theft and unauthorized access.

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or withdraw your consent to being contacted. Call me at 519-671-6337 or use the contact form. If you are not satisfied with how I handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
